My most immersive XR Experiences and experiments are still in deep development and cannot be shown here. however, some ideas I'm playing around with are:
• bringing full-resolution photogrammetric objects into spaces dedicated to study and analysis with dynamic tools available to grab and use.
• Recreating slide Projectors and Entire lectures from the Media Center's Archives to examine the history of teaching and scholarship in one of art history's oldest departments.
• Creating Zoetropes, Hand-Cranked Projectors, Stereoscopic viewers and other early forms of media viewing and presentation.
XR is opening so many new learning and research paths that the possibilities can be a bit overwhelming. I've found that only by pushing into new areas and seeing how experiences feel can we deepen our understanding of the medium and determine what is worthwhile and effective.
