Working with Noam M Elcott, I have been conducting research on the capabilities and Shortcomings of Generative Imaging AI models. We examine how they work, how they can be controlled, and what they might offer to art historians and scholars of visual culture. By training our own models, we are able to imitate the style of specific artists with striking accuracy. We have termed this pursuit "Latent Specificity".

Thus far, We have published three separate articles from this work:
Generative Style (Aperture 257)
'How Can Image-Makers Open Up AI’s Mysterious “Black Box”?' (Aperture.org)
The World through AI: Exploring Latent Spaces (Exhibition Catalog Essay)
